There is no telephone allowed, nor TV, or radio. Writing paper, pens, computer, the internet and mobile phones are all banned<br />What is worse is that the "housemates" are confined inside a house which has been specially designed so that every part of the house can be seen by video cameras which can be seen by the producers and more importantly the viewers.<br />Although the house is basic in terms of amenities it does have often have a Jacuzzi®.<br />Big Brother has become an entertainment phenomenon.<br /><br />The viewing figures for Big Brother are quite remarkable.
